When is a safe not a safe??? When it is built like this one.

The client saved themselves about $300 when buying this type of "safe". It was broken into by amateur's in under 5 minutes using only two large screwdrivers. The case and door are made from tin-plate and folded over an aerated cement liner. This type of liner is commonly used in fire rated containers; it saves on freight costs and has a very efficient thermal rating, unfortunately it has a theft rating of "0".

The insurance claim excess was more than the cost difference if the client had purchased a properly made safe.

For the record - We did not sell this "safe" - nor will we ever sell a "safe" of this type.
